Kithara is a virtual instrument developed in collaboration with Audio Imperia. It features an extensive library of string-based instruments, enhanced with modern effects and a distinctive fragments engine. My role encompassed overseeing the user interface design and art direction for the product.

With Kithara I worked within an existing UI component library as I was constrained to an older development platform. I used the existing library to design from the wireframes assembled by another product designer and chose a color scheme to match the artwork concept.
I led the artwork for Kithara as well. After providing several concepts to our partner, we chose this organic direction that suited the type of instrument in this product and overall vibe of the sounds generated by it. The leaves appear gradually upon increasing the mod wheel to add a touch of animation and life.
